Thomas Teuwen of Vancouver Island (or Sidney) British Columbia (and formerly of Sydney, Cape Breton) is an entrepreneur, author, and an important leader within the Canadian Green movement today. He helped re-elect Green MP Elizabeth May in 2015, and then in 2017 played a key role in the election of BC Green MLA Adam Olsen. Thomas helped found and champions a national grassroots Green initiative known as “EDA 2.0”, which is dedicated to transforming the way Greens connect with each other and with the voters at the EDA level, based on a vision that is people-centred and network-driven.
On April 10th, Thomas will be on Prince Edward Island as part of a national tour, facilitated by the generous donation of travel points from EDA 2.0 volunteers, and the PEI Greens are delighted to host him! Please join us for a discussion and “Greenstorming” session to talk about what people-centred campaigning and organizing looks like, and find out what Thomas has learned from successful Green campaigns and EDAs across Canada.
Please note that this event is open only to members of the Green Party of PEI or the Green Party of Canada.
