Districts 21 & 23 Green Regional Association Annual General Meeting

Please accept this as your invitation to this year’s Annual General Meeting of the Regional Association for District 21, Summerside-Wilmot & District 23 Tyne Valley-Sherbrooke, followed by coffee and conversations with MLAs Lynne Lund & Trish Altass.

This meeting will be held on Saturday November 6th at 1.00 p.m. at the Sherbrooke Community Center (27004 Sherbrooke Road, Summerside). 

Please Note: Following public health guidelines, we will be asking you to please bring your PEI Vax Pass to attend this meeting.

The Regional Association is the local grassroots organizing unit of the Green Party of PEI in these two districts. We work together to engage local members and the public, support our MLAs and prepare for the next election. 

At this meeting, current members of the D21 & 23 Regional Association will present a recap of the year's activities, and all members in good standing can vote for the Regional Association Chair & Communications Chair positions.

All members are encouraged to attend this meeting and to give consideration to one of the following Coordinating Team positions. 

Please note: If you wish to nominate yourself for a role on the Coordinating Team, please send an email to b[email protected] and include your name, the position you are interested in, a brief description of yourself, and your motivation for wishing to serve on the Regional Association by no later than October 22, 2021.

 

1. Chair :

  • Act as Chair/facilitator of District Association meetings
  • Coordinate the activities of other Coordinating Team members and Committees
  • Ensure that the District Association fulfills its duties towards its membership and the party
  • Serve as the primary spokesperson for the District Association when necessary

 

2. Communication Chair:

  • Ensure the District Association Webpage is up to date including submitting events to the Party’s Event Page
  • Draft and send email correspondence to the District Association members as needed

  • Keep minutes of all Regional Association meetings

 

 

3. Member at large:

With the approval of the elected Coordinating Team members, any member may join the team as a Member at large.
