Please join us on Monday, October 30th as we gather to select and support the Green Party candidate for the upcoming provincial by-election in District 11 (Charlottetown-Parkdale)! This is an exciting opportunity to elect a second Green MLA to join Peter Bevan-Baker in the Legislature, and we are fortunate that so many great people have come forward to seek the nomination.
All members and supporters are welcome to join us. Members of the party in good standing, who have joined on or before October 1, 2017, are eligible to vote in the nomination contest. Members whose membership has expired less than one year ago may renew their membership prior to or at the meeting to regain voting privileges.
Please arrive between 5:30 and 6pm for registration. The meeting will begin promptly at 6pm, and will include introductions by leader Peter Bevan-Baker and deputy leader Lynne Lund, speeches by the nominees, and an opportunity to mingle and meet the nominees personally. Following the vote and the announcement of the successful nominee, we will hold a short fundraising "pledge auction" and will call for volunteers to get the by-election campaign off to a roaring start!
Light refreshments will be provided.
CARPOOLING: If you need a ride to the meeting, can offer a ride to someone else, or would be interested in carpooling to save gas and enjoy good company, please fill out this form: https://goo.gl/forms/OB7RTMSTTAtuMXrI2
